UTTP Overview
UTTP stands for Universal Time Token Protocol. You will notice that this new time protocol is not described as a ‘world’ protocol’, or a protocol that is limited by the Earth? The UTTP protocol is an unambiguous universal time token that is seen the same and means the same moment, from anywhere in the solar system.
The UTTP protocol consists of encoded UTC date and time values that are encoded and represented within the time token. A UTTC time token is essentially 10 digits, for example:
1969CQSWKW is a UTTP time token which represents a single moment in time, with the first 4 digits clearly representing the integer value of the year, with the remaining characters of the this example time token made up of two sets of customized base-30 numbers. These two proprietary base-30 values house the date and time values for the time token as well as functional signifiers and other variable functional data. The UTTP time token has the capability to house and transmit considerable data and other required signification, which can be used by any proprietorial purpose.
1969CQSWKW = Monday 21st July 1969 12:56 am UTC +00. This UTTP time token represents the same moment anywhere in the solar system. It is a universal, unambiguous, authoritative and compact expression of a single moment in time, with a possible time resolution of a trillionth of a second or as high as needed. Such resolution is achieved by URL string signification with corresponding values that a UTTP server can read and interpret mathematically. All values and time calculations used are based on our proprietary base-30 number system.
This is the time token for when Neil Armstrong first stepped on the moon: 1969CQSWKW
This the same time token again with a message string attached: 1969CQSW1C-Almost_50_years_since_the_first_moon-step_-_where_were_you_at_this_moment–
A Universal Time Token needs an interpreter, and this interpreter is found at https://universaltimelink.com. The main use of the UTTP time token will be for the general public, though use for the time token is envisaged to find its way into industry, defense and government. The main points about the UTTP protocol are:
- It is driven by a new universal world time protocol
- It does not affect local times or time zones in any way
- It exists as a new global time zone called the UTTP global time zone
- It represents a non-destructive global time zone that doesn’t change our present time system
- The UTTP Global Time Zone links together all other time zones
- UTTP allows time to be expressed as a web link, called Universal Time Link (UTL)
- UTTP uses an intelligent background agent called Elevated Time Zone Intelligence (ETZI)
It is hoped that the world will accept the Universal Time Token as a solution for effortless time expression across an internet-connected world. Time zones are necessary & were created for a connecting world. Now that the world is internet connected, removing or re-defining time zones would probably send the world into chaos and that is why UTTP is here to answer the call for a global time system that does just what everyone wants: to work seamlessly in the background between time zones while leaving standard time untouched.
With the arrival of the internet comes a more unified world, bringing with it 24-hour interaction between people in different time zones. This is now the norm in all aspects of our lives: socially, commercially, politically, & for entertainment, news & education. Consequently the co-ordination of time between countries & differing time zones is more important than ever before. But time itself is not enough for today’s evolving world. The UTTP protocol can also carry many other forms of critical information. This is achieved with signifiers in the form of base-30 number values.
UTTP Time is a new idea in time and is designed to act as an international time zone ‘glue’. As well as a new idea, UTTP Time is also a philosophy that describes & proposes a way to unify the world in time, and it does this by using the internet to carry a common time token. The UTTP time token, though simple, is the next natural progression of the phenomena of time since GMT was superseded by UTC in 1960. If successful, the UTTP time token will help in many ways with gluing the many time zones together.
One of the most powerful features of UTTP Time is that it allows time to be published, posted or expressed as a web link. For example 20156D4CKW is an example of a UTTP Time & is the same time all over the world, on every computer. 20156D4CKW represents a year, month, date, hour & minute, and it can be a recurring time, and a durational time. When 20156D4CKW is posted as a Universal Time Link (UTL): UniversalTimeLink.com/20156D4CKW, it will instantly convert to a recipient’s local time with one click. This innovation will save the corporate & government sectors both time and cost, owing to no lost time by employees that would have otherwise been caused by time zone conversions or time zone confusion that causes missed appointments. It will allow entertainers & advertisers to increase attendances by getting the right time for an event to the fan’s time zones. Time zone confusion does cause lost time, but no more, because UTTP time is Universal and also authoritative.
A Brief Background of the UTTP Time Development
UTTP is now a serious time standard proposal, with the first public time server coming online on Tuesday 1st July 2014 16:25 AEST (al0614 ebt) in BETA-2 testing. UTTP Time is a time technology that is made up of a protocol, a smart background agent & a consequential time zone . The UTTP Global Time Zone identifier is intended to be known as UTZ (Universal Time Zone), which cannot be made official until the UTTP protocol becomes officially standardized and accepted by the International Standards Organization (ISO).
UTTP Time: The Beginning of a New Era
Until now, there has never been a way to easily express time to a global audience, except as just a local time, with the expectation that one’s audience will convert it at their end to their local time. Even a UTC Time is still ambiguous & causes confusion. With millions of expressions of time in one form or another on the internet daily, the development of UTTP Time couldn’t have come at a better time! Obviously this is the way forward for any kind of global time reference from now on for a globally connected world. Time is now a link that instantly decodes into a recipient’s own local time! Time between time zones can now be uncomplicated & instant.
Time zone conversion calculators are now things of the past because UTTP Time eliminates any need to reference time zones at all. Elevated Time Zone Intelligence (ETZI) knows about Daylight Savings for all time zones, for any given time, & it knows YOUR time zone. UTTP also knows about DST transitional hours & intelligently accommodates them for every time zone.
Platform Independence
UTTP time is platform-independent & application-independent. This means that you do not have to rely on any particular office suite or other software agent to use UTTP time – just a browser. Anyone should be able to express a time for something to an audience within moments and that audience may be to 1 person or to millions of people. The UTTP protocol now makes it possible to express time effortlessly to an audience of any size, where that audience will be able to effortlessly, and without mistake, know the intended time of the sender. Both the sender and the many recipients will not need additional software or an app. The Universal Time Link service site is all that is needed to send and receive Universal Time Links.
Space Exploration
UTTP Time is also universal to the solar system, which means space missions, satellites & other extra-terrestrial excursions will benefit all recipients on Earth by using a single clock time. All time zones, including the UTTP Global Time Zone, all get their time from atomic clocks. The UTC specification, which has replaced GMT, derives domestic from atomic clocks, which in turn all stay in sync by satellites. The UTTP time protocol can carry extremely precise time resolution as part of its data payload as well as a huge array of other information, making it ideal as a non-geographic time protocol that must remain independent, universal and authoritative.
